February through April journals seemed to be much like January, so this is the second quilt I am showing this year. During a quilt guild retreat, I learned to make a Jack's Chain. I decided to try it in miniature as a hand piecing project during a long trip (I usually say far away from hand work). I appliqued the pair of circles to the base fabric with a machine button hole stitch. I added couched yarn to accent the centers of the hexagons, and sides, because the circles looked like they were going to float off the fabric.
