One of my main goals this year was to use mostly my own painted and sunprinted fabrics in my work. Another case of "what happens if.....". I had been playing with fusing fabric to both sides of batting, and then satin stitch seaming the pieces together. I have always loved the look of stained glass, but hate working with bias. The black satin stitch sets off pieces of painted, sunprinted, and other scrap fused quilt sandwiches. Sunprints were quilted with gold metallic thread.
